This farm in the Mississippi Bottoms shows continuous habitation through most of the last century. Tucked just behind the levee, the gambril roofed barn has seen its share of floods. Quonset huts appeared on the rural landscape after World War II. And in the last third of the century, manufactured homes replaced frame structures as low-cost housing. |
