Political sculptures created by M.T. Liggett from discarded farm machinery dot the edges of his family farm along the roadside of Highway 154 in Mullinville, Kansas | A close up of one of the hundreds of sculptures, created from an old plow and meant to depict "Dante"
The whirling, flashing sculptures blow in the Kansas winds for almost a mile alongside Highway 154 in Mullinville, Kansas. The sculptures as well as the Grassroots Artist, M.T. Liggett, are the subject of a film that I am currently editing for showing on PBS. (All pictures copyright D. Gorton 2001)
